A Bit About Me
Karen (she/her/hers) began her theater career at the age of 7 where she starred in her 2nd grade play "Be Bright, Eat Right". She was recommended for a Jeff Award (the Giraffe from Toys R Us) for her famous line "Soggy soggy soggy bread, makes your tummy feel like lead". At the age of 10, she joined the Tom Thumb Players as "Lady Larkin", the pregnant lady in waiting to Princess Winnifred (originally played by Carol Burnett), in the production of "Once Upon a Mattress", but was removed by her father for bad behavior. She hasn't stepped on a stage since. Recently, Karen worked with Randy White, the Artistic Director for the Young People's Theater, in "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" "Peabody, the Musical" "Junie B. Jones" and "The Diary of Ann Frank". She's been a volunteer usher with the Chicago Saints for almost a decade. Karen's current role at Redtwist began as a patron of Redtwist Theater since its inception, then a subscriber, box office associate and unofficial marketing representative. Most recently she helped create the lobby display for "Agnes of God". She recently became a proud Ensemble member of Redtwist. So there should be no misunderstanding, she's a company member that will assist in anything OFFSTAGE.
